Micro-Needling

What is Medical Micro Needling?

Is also known as collagen induction therapy.  A topical anaesthetic numbing cream is applied to the area of treatment.  It involves the use of micro needles to create tiny micro channels (tiny holes) in the skin.  The process stimulates your skin’s natural ability to heal itself and in the process produces collagen and elastin.

This repair process begins almost immediately and results in a thicker dermis and softened wrinkles or scars.  This superficial micro-channels carry up to 80% more topical gels, creams and serums deep into the skin’s fibroblasts to deed the underlying cells found in the dermis.

It is similar to fractional laser treatments but without the side effects and downtime.  I use Dr Dermica gold pen for outstanding results.  The Dr Dermica gold pen opens over 1200 micro channels per second, boasting more stimulation of collagen during the treatment.
